Ensure proper ventilation in your shed as well so toxic fumes do not collect inside it. Adequate ventilation will also help in controlling the temperature in your garage or shed. Never put chemicals in containers that are not properly labeled. Take heed of the storage instructions of certain chemicals as not doing so can cause accidental fires. To keep your young one’s safe, never leave them in the workshop unsupervised and store hazardous substances in locked, difficult to access cabinets. If you have gas cylinders, these should also be chained to the wall. As an added layer of protection, install smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors and make sure that fire exits aren’t blocked.
